Appeals & Grievances
At AgeWell New York, our goal is to ensure our members are satisfied with the benefits and services they are receiving. We will always address your concerns about the quality or timeliness of your health care coverage. Appeals and grievances are processed to ensure a timely and thorough investigation and according to federal and/or state regulatory requirements.
What’s the difference between an appeal and a grievance?
An appeal is a formal way of asking us to review information and change our decision. You can ask for an appeal if you want us to change our initial decision.
A grievance is any complaint other than one that involves a decision made by the plan. Grievances may include concerns about the quality or timeliness of the care you received.
